I'm some strange computer nerd/artist/engineer, none of what i do professionally at this current point in time. I'm not an expert at most things, but I try to do a lot of things. I'm not the best artist, but I do love to build things in real life, so i use whatever little artistic skill I have to make something cool looking. One thing I love doing is using all free programs in order to do anything. No Photoshop for me =D I substitute that with Gimp, Paint, Paint.net (Occasionally) and a few converters here and there. Some people don't like the fact that i do that, but I never really cared, cause they each have their own strengths, and I use them accordingly for all those purposes.
Although I wasn't allowed to own a video game console till the GameCube came out, I have become a very big enthusiast. I'm pretty loyal to my favorites (Halo 2 is still my most favorite game of all time), and I'm an Old School video gamer at heart. I mod Xbox originals to do my bidding, whether it's modding Halo and Halo 2 (see my youtube page) or if it's running an operating system off of them. My favorite genres are FPS, Racing, Sidescrollers, and Top-Down Shooters. I kinda wish i was alive back in the 70's and early 80's just so I could experience the Golden Age of Videogameing.
I've always been a computer nerd one way or another. My father has worked with computer since way before i was born, so I guess i have big shoes to fill. I've always been one of those guys who has to avoid saying their college major, else they have to be bombarded with "Can you fix my computer?". I've always been a windows user, and I use linux once in a while. However, mac have always been the bane of my existence, mostly do to the occational mac user I have to put up with, and the fact that it's a terrible os. Apple was one of the first companies to create a graphical user interface for an operating system, I'll give Mr. Jobs that, but it's no excuse to make a mess of the operating system of today. (I'll just leave it at that I guess, don't want to drone on that all day).
Although I started a bit late, I am also a programmer. I know Java, C (all of them), Bash, Korne, Basic (of course), and I have been working on a few others. I feel I still have a lot of work to do considering I am hoping to get a job in this field some day, so I can only keep studying.
I'm very strange when it comes to politics and religion, and everything like that, because I grew up hearing each side of the story, or good points from each side. When looking at something, I always think about it long and hard, thinking about each way to go and I come to a conclusion that way, even if it means having a little of both ideas. Sadly, majority of the people I come in contact with have that "If you're not totally with me, you're against me" mentality, so I guess I try to not say anything unless they want me to. Which is ok, because I think of myself as a strong silent type. I'm not the best with words always but if I think it out ahead of time I can usually defend my points enough (I am horrible at debating, even if I'm right).
Anyway, long story short, that's who I am, and I hope to finally get a drawing tablet so I can start drawing (I'm left Handed but I use my mouse with my right hand, so it's really awkward to draw with a mouse), and whenever I do, I hope to get better at artwork and such. Thanks for reading this Bio thing =D
